Cecilia P. Chung, M.D., M.P.H., has joined the University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine as the newly appointed chief of the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology in the Department of Medicine.

In this role, Dr. Chung will lead the division in furthering its mission to provide the highest level of patient care in those with arthritis and rheumatic diseases, train physicians, and advance the knowledge of these diseases through research. Apart from her work at UHealth, Dr. Chung will continue her affiliation with the Veterans Health Administration by partnering with the Miami VA to provide care to veterans with rheumatic conditions and to continue her research focus on drug safety among veterans.
