Nemour’s opens $45 million outpatient facility

19 Sep, 2016

Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children recently opened a $45 million pediatrics outpatient clinic in South Jersey. With medical facilities all throughout the region and country, this new state-of-the-art facility is the latest example of Nemour’s efforts to deliver care in a localized and convenient way for families.

The new site offers a full range of clinical and therapy services, in addition to outpatient ambulatory services and onsite imaging. The facility offers a variety of amenities geared toward the family and community outreach, including community meeting space, a café, and playground. They also included a sibling care playroom to help out parents visiting the doctor with siblings in tow. Nemour’s also designed and built the building and landscaping in such a way that it preserves the natural beauty of the nearby forests and wetlands.

The 65,000-square-foot facility boasts 29 specialty exam rooms, onsite x-rays, sedated and unsedated MRI, swallowing studies, and ultrasound. The ambulatory surgery center has two operating rooms and 10 pre-operation and post-operation recovery rooms. The facility will service a range of specialties including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and pulmonology.
