The University of Alabama Health Services Foundation is recruiting for an Assistant or Associate Professor level Pediatric Pulmonologist to join the clinical faculty based at North Alabama Children’s Specialists Clinic location operated by Children’s of Alabama in Huntsville, AL.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or MD/PhD
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Board certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
The selected candidate will provide care at Children’s of Alabama North Alabama Children’s Specialists Clinic (NACS) in Huntsville, AL. Strong clinical demand and an expanding division will offer the new faculty member an exciting array of opportunities to participate in its growth and development. The two current physicians are looking to add a third fulltime clinical position with 8 half days per week. The candidate will be expected to rotate on the call schedule, one week out of three for inpatient consults.

North Alabama Children’s Specialists was established in 1994. Our practice is home to two pediatric pulmonary specialists and one pediatric neurology specialist. In addition, pediatric specialists in the field of adult congenital heart disease, pediatric rheumatology, pediatric general surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric gastroenterology hold monthly clinics in our office.

Physicians and other clinical faculty candidates who will be employed by the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) or other UAB Medicine entities, must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
