Join the Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka as a full-time Medical Oncologist (and/or Hematology/Oncology physician) at its COC-accredited cancer center. This position is located on the beautiful northern California coast, and you will be part of the Providence Cancer Clinical Institute working alongside a group of board-certified Hematology/Oncology physicians as well as with superb Radiation Oncology colleagues who offer treatment on two state-of-the-art linear accelerators. With a robust weekly tumor board, advanced surgical capabilities, and a large support staff comprised of nurse navigators, an oncology social worker, advanced practice pharmacists, and an oncology-certified dietician, you will be joining a world-class team providing vital Oncology services to patients throughout northern California.
Our service area is exceptionally large, serving a population of city and rural residents along with many cultures for those providers who seek to serve a rich and diverse population. Our region is about the size of Connecticut, and we are the only cancer program within 4 hours, drawing from a population who would otherwise not have access to healthcare. Providers are valued as essential and see many interesting and challenging cases while they directly save lives.
Our cancer program offers a full range of cancer care, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy (IMRT, SRS, SBRT, and brachytherapy), surgery, and supportive care. Our clinic uses EPIC/Beacon as our EMR, providing patients with an integrated healthcare experience. Incoming physicians will be supported by a seasoned oncologist and a multidisciplinary team. By joining PMGNC, physicians become part of a large, regional, multi-specialty group.

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our dynamic team at the Providence St. Joseph Cancer Center in Eureka, CA. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing top-tier oncology services and will play a key role in the continued growth and development of our Cancer Program and Cancer Services.

Medical Oncology Program and Position Overview
Position Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ideal candidates will be eager to support a compassionate and mission-oriented organization working to provide every patient with exceptional care
- Opportunity to participate in and further expand clinical trials in collaboration with Northern California and other sites across the Providence Health System
- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Weekly tumor board with a collegial and multidisciplinary participation of clinicians
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor – MD, DO, MBBS, or Equivalent
- Board Certified/Board-Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology/Oncology
- Valid California medical license or eligible for licensure in the state of California
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care

- Additional Compensation based on clinical productivity (wRVU) and shareholder bonus potential.
